FUSION FRIDAY

This track is from legendary Miles’ album ‘Big Fun’, recorded between ’69 & ’72. Though this track takes it’s name from UK guitar don John McLaughlin, this track is all about the rhythm section. Check out the dark, minimal bass, Jack de Johnette’s timeless breaks and Teo Macero’s mix-work on the desk slicing it all up, and it starts to feel like a sonic echo 20 years ahead of it’s time. It’s raw and it grooves like a b*stard. Grab your cans and give it a crank. Nice one, Mr Davis.
